The short answer

Create one dynamic QR code per location, named by branch, all pointing at that branch’s page, and style them from one template so the brand is consistent. Use CSV bulk generation (Pro) for the first rollout and the REST API (Business) when new locations open, with a custom short-link domain so every code reads as your brand. Compare scans by branch to see which locations are engaging.

How to roll out QR codes across many locations

  1. Create a page per location

Each branch needs its own destination, such as a booking page, a menu or a store page. Keep a consistent address pattern, for example /locations/downtown.

  2. Agree one design

Set the colors, dot style and logo once. For codes created through the API (Business), set a default brand style so every code matches without per-code styling.

  3. Generate in bulk

Upload a CSV of branch names and links to create all the codes at once (Pro). Name them consistently: “City – Branch – Window”.

  4. Use your own domain

On the Business plan, connect a branded short-link domain. All branch codes then read as your brand. One domain per account.

  5. Automate new openings

Have your location system call the REST API (Business) when a branch is added, so the code exists before the sign is printed.

Why dynamic for a chain

Branches open, close, change hours and move. A dynamic code per location lets you update the page behind the sign without reprinting, redirect a closed branch to the nearest one and keep every code consistent in style. Separate codes also give each branch its own scan count, so you can compare engagement fairly. A static code ties every sign to a page forever and would turn a branch closure into a printing job.

Common mistakes

One code for the whole chain. You cannot compare branches or send each customer to their local page. Make one code per location.
Inconsistent styling.Hand-styling hundreds of codes leads to drift. Use one template or the default style for API-created codes.
No plan for closures.A closed branch’s sign should redirect to the nearest one. Use dynamic codes so you can change it.
Unstable page addresses. If location page URLs change often, keep a predictable pattern so you can fix many codes quickly.
Ignoring local rules. Some locations need different offers or languages. Give each its own destination.

Tip: create a branch code for the window and another for the receipt. A branch that scans well on receipts but not windows tells you where its customers are paying attention.

Frequently asked questions

How do I create QR codes for many locations?

Upload a CSV of branch names and links to create them in bulk on the Pro plan, or create them from your own system with the REST API on the Business plan.

Can all codes use my own domain?

Yes, on the Business plan. One custom short-link domain can be connected to each account.

How do I keep the design consistent?

Style one code as a template, then reuse it. For codes created through the API, set an account default style once (Business plan).

What happens when a branch closes?

Edit its dynamic code to point at the nearest branch or a closure notice. The sign keeps working.
